Not-Peach, Not-Daisy and Not-Pauline are more charismatic than their models, while Not-Mario and Not-Sonic are slightly less over the top all the time. This serves your series well.
For a second, I thought Buzz was still being chased by Not-Amy (unless she was the one who bit him ?). The cop was a nice twist too.
The animation is good but there are a few things I don't like :
- Those were all contemporary species (and an alien). The rat even found a cheese to eat. Let's remember that modern animals are our cousins, not our ancestors.
- The growth and decay of the body is another subject entirely.

- There is no reason to think "humans wont really evolve further". Relaxed selection or not, our DNA mutates.

What I loved in this episode:
- the various art shifts. They give a 3D feel to the whole thing.
- the use of power ups. Fire Sonic in particular is a nice touch.
- the team work. Luigi certainly is good at that game !
- the koopas. And that "mysterious figure in the dark" too.
**** Story ****
The insanity of EBF1 ending is now distilled through the whole game. Aftermaths surely are cheap in that world you created.
I am not offended by any villain's swastika. But heroes can't wear it.
**** Characters ****
The good guys are now a team of five :
- Matt.
- Natz.
- NoLegs (once he learns to act on his own).
- Slime Bunny (idem).
- Whoever gives the aerial support (idem).
That chain has no weak link. I felt much more powerful than before.
**** Moves ****
Lot and lot of options. And you really do like swords.
But I barely used any of Matt's element related skills. My favorite weapon is the blade that gives magical points, which I use to power air strikes after air strikes. On that note, the additional missile was a really nice touch.
To me, Natz used to be an average white mage, a very poor black mage and an arguable summoner. Now, she is fairly good in all three works. Unlike Matt's, none of her abilities can be ignored. And you fixed the problem with turns.
**** Foes ****
I am currently 100% Normal Difficulty, 100% Hard Difficulty and 33% Epic Difficulty.
Thank to the check points and overall tactical tone, the game has become way more playable. Speaking of check points, I think two is enough.
The bonus stages were also welcome. You should keep them for EBF3.
**** To conclude ****
EBF2 is a huge improvement over EBF1, which was already the best game on newgrounds.
I was waiting for this episode and now I remember why. Thank you !
****General appearance****
I am no juge of the animation, but my eyes were pleased. Musics and voices were extremely nice as well.
As usual, your view of Hyrule is very unique, but in a good way. In essence, you makes the towns look just as advanced as the dungeons. I think it makes sense.
****Stand-alone events****
The fight was surprisingly FF looking, short and gore. That's not bad but I don't think it is that good either.
The heavy blacksmih, the item tune and the hair joke were warmly welcomed.
The end was great, thank to one of the best zelda character ever made. I really wonder why she is cursed again.
****Story****
One thing I don't understand is why Link had to go through all this. If he wants to learn more about his previous selves, and is already in the favors of both the Great Deku Tree and the Princess Zelda, why would he need a book for ? Moreover, his memories are coming back anyway. "Patience and passage of time do more than strength and fury" (Jean de la Fontaine).
Otherwise, I do want to know what is coming next. I especially wonder if an already introduced character will reveal himself to be Ganondorf. One of the redheads, maybe ?

I thought it was another fake...

Impressive
This could be a Mario game.
I haven't played it all yet, but I will.
